Individual:

From an e-mail from John Stuart Fryer to Sharlee Birge-MacNeil: I suspect that the first Jesse Fryer, who married in Crawford County for the first time in 1831, was the brother of Richard Fryer, making my great grandfather the nephew, not the son of Richard. There is also supposedly a record of the estate auction of George Frier in Franklin County in 1836. Attending were Mary (his
widow, I think), William, Richard and Jesse Frier. Those three males also attended the estate sale of Mary Frier three years later in 1839, in Franklin County. I thus believe that I am descended from George Frier, d. Franklin Co., MO, in 1836 (my gr gr gr grandfather), then Jesse Friar and Judith Burton (my gr gr grandfather), then Jesse Friar/Fryer, born Oct 31 1852 and Phebe Agness Hendrix (my gr grandparents)
