THOMAS B. SHORT according census records was born about 1797 in VA. He married Eleanor unknown about 1821. They were on the 1850 Lawrence County,TN Census and then on the 1860 and 1870 Census, of Wayne Co, TN. Known children are James, Alfred, Ethelinda & Joseph Short. All their children were born n TN including their youngest son JOSEPH L. SHORT (Joe) (my g-g grandfather). Joe and his family were on the 1880 Wayne Co, TN census and then 1900 Dyer Co, TN census. Dyer Co is where I and other of his descendants still reside. We have to date no knowledge of his other childrens whereabouts.
