The Patriarch Ancestor is John McKinney, who married Mary "Poly" Silvers on Nov 28, 1818 in livingston Co, KY. Died after 1850 census. It is believed that John & Lucy are buried in Vick's Cemetery, Good Hope Bluff, Livingston Co, Kentucky in unmarked graves.They had 3 known children:1) James McKinney who married Elizabeth Roe on 1839 in Liv. Co, KY.2)Sarah McKinney who George Washington Swailes on 1845 in Liv. Co, KY.This where the Swailes line gets interesting:3) Rev. Joseph/Josiah McKinney who married Amanda Swailes on Mar 22, 1849 in Livingston Co, KY. Rev Josiah McKinney's wife, Amanda is the daughter of John D. Swailes born 1804 KY while Rev Josiah's sister, Sarah McKinney married George Washington Swailes born 1821 KY. There is evidence to tie the two Swailes togather, but I believe they are closely related. It would be great to learn more. I am always glad to hear from fellow researchers and cousins.
