MARVEL HILL, Sr is my ggggg-grand father. Marvil was born according to Census about 1777 in NC and migrating from NC to Frnklin Co, TN to Caldwell Co, KY. His wife Mary Morris was from SC. Recently discovered TN land records show Marvil had 12 acres on the Franklin/Lincoln County TN border.He probably would have arrived in TN by 1808, because his oldest daughter was shown as born in TN at that time. By 1840 he and family were on the Caldwell Co, KY census. Lyon Co, KY was eventually taken out of Caldwell Co. This is the (LBL) Land Between the Lakes area. Here some of his descendants still make home. My g-g grandfather JAMES W. HILL and most of his descendant family moved to Dyer Co, TN around the year 1900.
