William W. Duson married Julia I. Clark on 2 Mar 1883 at St. Landry Par., LA. He married Clara M. Thayer on 11 Feb 1893 at Acadia Par., LA. He was born on 5 Oct 1853 at St. Landry Par., LA. He along with his partner C.W. Foreman, ran a display ad in the St. Landry Democrat newspaper for their dry goods store on Oct 1880 at Opelousas, St. Landry Par., LA. He purchased at public auction, 13 lots of land from the estate of W. H. Cunningham, recorded on 7 Oct 1884 at Rayne, St. Landry Par., LA. He purchased the first newspaper to be published in the Acadia Parish area , the Rayne Signal (first issue 13 March 1886), recorded on 1 Sep 1886 at Rayne, St. Landry Par., LA. He sold 40.35 acres to Rev. Aguste Thebault of Point-aux-Loups, acting as agent for Archbishop Janssens of New Orleans, for $1 and "the further consideration of furthering and fostering the cause of religion, good morals, and education in that neighborhood" on 28 Oct 1893 at St. Landry Par., LA. He died on 3 Oct 1922 at Crowley, Acadia Par., LA, at age 69.
