Individual:
Jim Meissner has xerox copy of wedding record
the record for Celeste (born 1830) says that the parents are from the "Ste. Marie" parish (i n Marieville, Rouville, Quebec, Canada) !! Charles is a "cultivateur". Charles had a son born in Marieville in 1827
1833 marriage record of son (Charles) says family is of Ste. Marie parish (Marieville)
1836 marriage record of daughter (Reine) says family is of Ste. Marie parish
Pierre Charbonneau (Sr.) and his wife Catherine Hall were brother and sister to
Charles Charbonneau (Jr.) and his wife Archange Hall.
[Pierre Sr. & Charles Jr. were brothers]
The parents of these 2 Charbonneau/Cole brothers were: Charles and Marguerite Landry
Charles (Jr.) and his wife Archange were the ones proven to live in Marieville for awhile an d Johanne Gladu found that they had a son, Edouard, who was baptised there in 1827. So far she has not found another child born there. Both of these families were moving around in Canada from 1825 to 1840 and had children baptised in different parishes. Our James could possibly be a child of either brother. I lose track of the Charles Charbonneau Jr. family after a child was baptised in Iberville in 1833, but I follow the Pierre Charbonneau Sr. and Jr. families to New York and then to Wis. [and their adoption of the "Cole" name when they moved to NY.]
