He enlisted in Denver Colorado He went to France with the American Expeditionary Force and served in Co E7 Regular Army. He was also in Company B of the 58th Engineering Batalion. He was in the Hospital 9 Months 16 days died at 11:45 p.m. Their is a conflict over Julians Birth year, His tombstone says 1869 and the Church record made at the time of Baptism In Gilchrist Church, Kortright New York in 1882 says 1870, and so does his sister Lillies Bible.
He served in the service of WWI in Company B 58th Engineering Batalion, Company E-7 Regular US. Army Expeditionary Force. His tombstone indicates Iowa, Private 66 Co Trans Corp. He died in the Military Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Julian was in the Brotherhood of Railroad Engineers.1900 Census says they were married five years
