Norman Granz was an American Jazz music impressario and producer. He was a fundamental figure in American Jazz music, especially of the 1950s and 1960s. He was the founder of Verve Records, Clef Records, Norgran Records, and Down Home Records. He managed Ella Fitzgerald from 1956 until the end of her career.
