Individual:
Came from a very religious family. Her father and 5 brothers were all rabbis. She learned Hebrew in the basment by candlelight in order to write letters to Saul, who lived in another town (Tiraspol).Soon after marrying in Tiraspol, they moved to Kishinev (present day Chisinau, capitol of Moldova) where there was a large Jewish community. After Eddie was born, they moved back to Tiraspol due to increasing violence against Jews.
