  3. Title: Obituary of Ed Koskovich
    Publication: June 1964
    Text: Edd Koskovich, son of Peter and Anna Isonhourer Koskovich, was born August 26, 1890 in Wray
    , Yuma County, Colorado and passed away early Friday morning, June 5, 1964 in Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital at Cherokee after a short illness. Mr. Koskovich was united in marriage to Laura Macklin on March 19, 1912 and to this union eleven children were born. The Koskovichs lived for several years in Minnesota in the Hancock area and then moved to Nebraska where they resided for several years. In 1941 the family moved to Correctionville, Iowa where they farmed until 1947, at which time they returned, moving to town. Mr. Koskovich was a member of the Methodist Church in Correctionville. In 1962, Mr. and Mrs. Koskovich were able to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary; which event was thoroughly enjoyed by them. Mr. Koskovich was a devout family man and his grandchildren were a great delight to him. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Albert. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Laura and ten children, namely: Dale of Kingsley; Alma (Mrs. Gus Schmidt) of Correctionville; Ruby, (Mrs. Lavern Jirak) of Kent, Washington; Ralph of Storm Lake; Earle of Omaha, Nebraska; Russell of Correctionville; Betty (Mrs. Daker Volkert) of Running Springs, California; Wayne, Edward, Jr. and Leon all of Renton, Washington. He also leaves 26 grandchildren and one brother, John, of Elmore, Minnesota and three sisters: Mrs. Emma McKelvey of Fulton, Kentucky; Mrs. Pauline Singer of California and Mrs. Helen Exby of Kansas City, Missouri.A precious one from us has gone
    A voice we loved is stilled;
    A place is vacant in our home,
    Which never can be filled.
    God in His wisdom has recalled,
    The boon his love had given
    And though the body slumbers here
    The soul is safe in heaven.
