George Anderson's obituary reads: George Anderson, 77, who farmed five miles North of Lawton, IA, died Friday at the residence after suffering a heart attack.
Mr. Anderson was born April 23, 1882 in Sweden. He came to America in 1901 and first resided in Odebolt, IA. He did carpentering for a time in Sioux City, IA, and later farmed in the Alcester, SD area. He had farmed in the Lawton area for 40 years.
Mr. Anderson married Jenny Sandberg in 1918. She died in January of 1952. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Sioux City.
Survivors include a son, Ernest, of Lawton, IA; five step-sons, Charles, Henry, and Harold Sandberg of Sioux Falls, SD. ; Osborne Sandberg of Sioux City, IA and Gordon(Sandberg) Peterson of Alcester, SD; two daughters, Mrs. S. E. (Elsie) Jenkins of Indianapolis, IN and Mrs. Carlyle (Lillian) Moore of Emmetsburg, IA; a step-daughter, Mrs. John (Ruth) Didion of Fort Wayne, ID and several grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Nelson-Berger North side funeral home.
George was married before Jenny to Signe Sandmark who died after Elsie was born. Their daughter Elsie married Simon E. Jenkens. The Jenkins lived in Indianapolis, Indiana.
George and Jenny Anderson lived on a farm 5 miles North of Lawton, IA. It was a dairy farm.

Family information from a member of Lillian's family says the last name may have been Andreson and was spelled wrong when he entered the US.
George's death certificate is #114-5923371 - State of Iowa. It states his father was Johannes Andreson - this may be a typing error as George went by Anderson. Thomas N Berger was the funeral director. George died from Coronary Occlusion.
