They had a total of 11 children. The first 4 children were given up for adoption. Junie Myrtle was adopted by the Sisney family. Her name was changed to Toni June. George Arthur Jr I was adopted by the Chamberlain family. His name was changed to Leroy Chamberlain. The Sisney family wife & the Chamberlain family wife were cousins. Junie/Toni and George/Leroy were raised as first cousins. The other 2 children (as of 1997) have not been found. Their names at birth were Joseph Bernard Buchholz and Michael Buchholz. Michael had a deformed arm. Joseph & Michael were supposed to have been adopted by a family in Long Beach, California.
George Buchholz Sr left Ellen when their youngest child James (Jimmy) was only 6 years old. He moved down the street with another woman and her 2 children. He then raised those 2 children as his own & had nothing more to do with his own children.
