!NOTE: Following the death of his father, Peter Arnold in 1795, George
purchased (1804) the inheritence rights of his brothers and sisters,
and with
his mother's permission, sold the family farm in 1801. He evidently
purchased
another farm in Franklin Township, for about 1826, in a petition
filed in York
Co. by his son-in-law John Livelsperge on behalf of John's wife,
Catharine, and
his ten living brothers and sister, the court is asked to grant
permision to
sell the late George Arnold's land in Franklin Township, containing
278 acres
adjoining lands of John Rucks, Henry Hikes, G. P. Arnold and others.

Book Q, pp. 140-1, 179, 185, 199, 226, 268, 292-3, 295. These show
that George
died leaving a widow and eleven children, and 278 acres of land
adjoining land
of John RUCHES and Henry HIKES, G. P. Arnold and others.
Administrators of the
estate were Peter and George Arnold, his eldest sons. This document
states that
died intestate.
