Individual:
From the Narrative History of Union County by Allan D. Charles. Page 106: Other early physicians in Union included Dr. John Burel (1757-1825) who according to legend was Lafayette's personal physician, having come over from France with the marquis in 1777. He lived at Goshen Hill and apparently never practiced medicine in the county. This was referenced as being from the "Union County News", 14 April 1982.
