Notes
Text:
Wayne Milford Dearing: Although we-ll miss all of his spiritual traits, as a husband, father, grandfather, and all around pal, he was great. As far as family camps, hunts and fishing trips into the hills, we are giving our Heavenly Family a real good deal! Wayne Milford Dearing arrived in Springville Utah on October 23, 1929 and departed SAndy, Utah on January 10, 1994. His parents are Roy Christopher and Myrtle Hickman Dearing, whom he has now joined in heaven along with his son, Jeffrey Allen, who left in 1971. He married his sweetheart of some 48 years, Edith Marie Andrezzi on April 17, 1946, in Las Vegas, Neveda and marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He leaves his wife, and other four children, Gerald Wayne and Karen (Boogaard) Dearing; Timothy J. and Leigh (Lindsey) Dearing; Randy Howard and Joelene (DEaring) Charlton; Joseph Fredrick and Pauline (Dearing) Sturdy; to care for his eight grandsons, nine granddaughters and one great-grandson, all from the Salt Lake area. He also sends his love and thanks to his remaining two brothers and four sisters; George and Bernice Dearing, Charles and Arthella Dearing; Fred and Arlene Dearing Becker, all of Orem, Keith and Frances Dearing Boden of Choctaw, Okla; Betty Dearing Jones, Cedar City; and Farrell and Myrtle Dearing Jones of Magna; and his beloved nieces and nephews and all his wonderful friends, neighbors, all of whom he cared for dearly. "If he really like you, he gave you a nickname which ne never forgot---think about it?" Wayne was a veteran of World War II and spent time in both the Army and Navy. He worked for the telephone company for 35 years and made many friends among those he worked with. He loved people and always had an eye open for the person in need, the elderly or the small child (who knew him as the "Candy Man") and was always willing to help anyone with anything. After his wife, children, granchildren, friends etc., his favorite loves were fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, traveling, or anything to do with the mountains (he dearly cared for). These sports were high on his list, especially golf. As a high priest in his church, he has been an active member of the LDS faith for many years and will be missed by many. He loved to tease and worked over time at making others feel good about themselves and who they are. Services will be held at the Union 11th Ward Chapel at 1433 Old Mission Road (7930 South), at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 13, 1994, where family and friends may visit from 10-11 a.m. Friends are also invited to visit from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 1994, at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road. Military rites will be accorded.
