James Monroe Blansett has been a difficult ancestor to trace. His surname on his marriage license in Highland County, Ohio is registered as Blanchard. Blanchard was also the surname listed on the Randolph County, Indiana 1850 Census. Sometime after that the name was changed to Blansett. Along with this Blansett clan was at least two brothers maybe three who moved on to Anderson, Madison County., Indiana. Vermont & Sarah A. /HAWKINS/ Blansett and his youngest half brother Thomas Jefferson & Flossie Pearl /BADGLEY/ BLANSETT. this two lines changed the spelling of Blansett once again to Blansette. Their descendants may still live around Anderson and migrated to Indianapolis, Indiana or it suberbs. The three brother that may have been in Anderson for a while could have been James Waldo, known as Waldo, & Dorothy /HAMILTON/ BlANSETT, they did end up in New Castle, Henry County, Indiana. This families have been losted, I would love to hear from them.
