Notes from conversation with Esther Jackson LeMay Oct 1992. Gale was
her half brother. "I was about in my first year of school [C. 1904]when Cliff came to stay with us for about a year. He didn't fit inwith Daddy (Joel) He was about 20 years old or so. He always teasedme. He was there at Christmas and didn't put any name on my presentsat the community Christmas tree. Later on he wrote Rosa and said shewas the only mother he ever knew. This was after they moved to Phoenix(c 1934)."
