Individual:
1870 census of Lagro twp, Wabash Co., IN, recorded June 28, lists this
family (#514 on page 68) as: Blocher, A., 26, farmer, OH; S., 25, IN;D., (m) 3; F., (f) 2; S., (m) 1. All children born in Indiana. Thiscensus-taker recorded only initials, so I copied the gender as well.Note that the child recorded as "F." must be Christina. This census isvery
faint, so it is possible that I misread a "C" as an "F", but it looked like the F's in the gender column.
1880 census of Pleasant Twp., Wabash County, Indiana, recorded June 16, lists this family (#332 on page 33) as: Blocher, And., 36, OH (PAPA); Sarah, 36, IN (VA OH); Daniel, 13; Christina, 12; Samuel, 11;John, 9; Amos, 8; Elis, 6; all children born in Indiana.
According to Lester Binnie's Early Brethren Families in the Eel River Congregation, this family lived north of Long Lake, Indiana forseveral years "and may have moved to North Dakota. No cemetery recordsfor Sarah or Andrew found in Wabash County" They really moved toIllinois. The exact dates and place of death are from Leona Betteridgeof Tacoma, Washington.
