Cecily Haccombe b: 1310 in Haccombe, Devonshire, England; 23DEC 1327 in Devonshire, England.None of his [Thomas l'Arcedekne's] descendants were eversummoned to Parliament in respect of this Barony. His son andheir, Sir John l'Arcedekne, of Ruan Lanihorne, aged 25 and moreat his father's death, had livery of his lands 15 Sep 1331. Hewas summoned to a Council 25 Feb 1341/2. He served in the Frenchwars 1345. He had pardon 6 Nov 1351 and again 26 May 1352, forhaving escaped from Launceston Castle, where he had beenimprisoned.He m. by Papal disposition dated 23 Dec 1327, being within the4th degree of consanguinity, Cecily, daughter and heir of JordanHaccombe, of Haccombe, Devon, by Isabel, daughter of Mauger deSt. Aubin. She was living in 1365. He was living 13 Feb 1370/1and d. before 21 Dec 1377. [Complete Peerage I:187]Note: Even though CP doesn't name him as such, Baronies arehereditary, so John was lawfully 2nd Baron l'Arcedekne. Also Ihaven't found out yet how Cecily & John were related.
