By his 1st wife, Felice (daughter of Philipde Worcester), from whom he was divorced on account ofconsanguinity, Geoffrey had also a son, Richard. Thehalf-brothers had a long dispute about the manor of Clifton,which William claimed from Richard, and it was finally adjudgedto him. Geoffrey was son and heir of William de Canville, byAuberee (living 1233), daughter and heir of Geoffrey Marmion, ofClifton, and of Arrow, co. Warwick.
