By the Treaty of Pipton, 19 Jul 1265, Simon recognized Llywelynby the title of Prince of Wales, in the name of King Henry III(whom Simon was holding prisoner at this time of civil . . .Noble's . . . war). In addition, Simon agreed that his daughterEleanor should be married (betrothed) to Llywelyn (she was 13 atthe time and Llywelyn was about 40).
