Phinehas Spencer received letter in 1760 from 1st Congregational Church at Haddam, CT.
They, of Haddam, sold 11 June 1735 land set to Martha from the estate of her father, Timothy Ste(e)vens, dec'd; and they sold 5 Feb 1745/6, the deed being witnessed by Joel Spencer (his nephew, the son of John, which see).
Martha Spencer, "now of Haddam," wife of Phineas of Haddam and daughter of Timothy Ste(e)vens of Killingworth dec'd, gave a deed 14 Dec 1755. [Killingworth Deeds, 5:166; 7:198; 8:553.]
Phinehas seems to have sold his Haddam homestead in 1750 [Haddam Deeds, 4:101], and shortly removed to Spencertown, NY.
