Obituary in the Philadelphia Inquirer dated November 28, 1863 for Maria Wolfington:


Wolfington - On the 26th instant, after a lingering illness which she bore with Christian for titude, Mrs. Maria Wolfington, wife of John Wolfington, Sr., aged 65 years. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the residence of her husband, Gay St. near Wood, Manayunk, on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. To proceed to Roxborough.
