Individual:
Alfred seems to have left North Carolina sometime before 1850. He and
Louisa had their first child in Alabama around 1854 but then returnedback to Wilkes County, NC, where their next two children were born. Theywere back in Alabama by 1862 where their daughter, Amanda Jane, was born.Alfred died of Pneumonia while serving in the Civil War (AL 18th Batn.Vol. Co. A). Louisa's last child, Mollie, had a different father.
