OBITUARY: Bloomfield--~BEugene Harry Barwick~b, 86, of Bloomfield Route 9 died
March 11, 1993, at Bloomfield Care Center. He was born Aug. 18. 1906
in Wapello County to Charles Sherman and Lilly Pearl Curtis Barwick
He md. Mary Louise Crumes in August 1937. A resident of Wapello
and Davis County most of his life, he was a coal miner, electrician
and had worked at Drupys Bakery. He is survived by his wife, six
sons, Charles and Mike of Ottumwa, Greg of Florida, Jesse of Clinton,
Arthur of Davenport and Albert of Ohio; a daughter, Judy Kelley of
Eldon; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three
sisters Dorothy Park of Ottumwa, Blanche Phillips of Algona and
Francine Hagardon of La Mesa Calif. He was preceded in death by a
brother, Sherman, an infant brother, and a sister Ada Wright. The
service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. James
Grubb of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be
in Shaul Cemetary. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today with the
family present from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
