WILL of William Hammock:
In the name of God amen, I William Hammock of the Lunenburg Co. and Parish of Cumberland (VA) being sick and weak of body but perfect of mind and memory, thanks be to God for it. Do make and ordain this my last will and testament in the manner and form as following:
-------------to my beloved wife Elizabeth Hammock all myestate both realand personal in during her natural life or widowhood, but if she marries,then I desire that she may have no longer right or ---- tot this above mentioned-------estate.
-------------I desire the land and plantation whereon I now live may be equally divided between my three sons, John, James, and William Hammock to them and their heirs forever.
-------------I desire all the rest of my estate of what demonena--- forever may be equally divided between all my children, but if my wife Elizabeth should marry or die, then I desire my estate should not be divided til my youngest child comes of lawful age---to them------- forever.
-------------I desire my estate not be appriased but on inventory returns, and lastly I do appoint my brother Hugh Hammock, and my son John Hammock my executors of this my last will and testament.
