Wilson met Margaret when he worked for the Atlantic Ice Company as a delivery man. They had known each other for about 2 months when they married. Later Wilson went to work for the Brooksville Lumber Company as a truck driver. I can remember riding in the truck with to the saw mill in Cross City when Iwas about 6 years old. One of the things that I remember most about those trips are going across the street from the saw mill to a Sinclair Service Station to have lunch with the man who owned the station. I can't remember his name, however he had the coldest Coca Colas. When you would open them ice would form on the top. Daddy and I would drink Cokes and eat cheese and peanut butter crackers with vienna sausages and saltines. Then later in the afternoon we would have another coke with peanuts and we would pour our peanuts into the cokes. if it was going to take a long time for the truck to be loaded, we would borrow the ststion owners car and drive on up to Madison, Fl and spend a few hours with his mother.

I was only 9 when daddy died, and just 6 when he had his first heart attack that left him practically bedridden, so I really don't have a lot of memories of him, but I certainly cherish the ones that I do have.
