Individual:
Violet was said to have been a shouting Methodist. After she became
to old to go to church she would hold her own service in the living
room of her grand daughter Florence Myrtle Cook Wilson (daughter of
John Henry Cook and Susan Alice Gaddy Cook). She had her clothes to
be buried in, made by her own hands, for years before she died. There
is a tombstone on her grave in the Newport Cemetery, in Barton
County, Missouri.
