Individual:
Originally, Dolph worked in a jewelry store and was training to be a watch maker, but he left that to work in his father's furniture making business. He soon found that his skills were most in sales, and sold furniture for a number of firms fo
r quite a few years before he opened his own new and used furniture store on Michigan Avenue in Detroit. They traveled a great deal in upper Michigan where Dolph had been told to go for his health, and where they loved visiting.
