Stories told by Lucy to daughter Nancy. Lucy said as a young girl most of her girlfriends wanted to go to Lucy's house to play or spend the night because they knew Lucy's mother would play games with them. Lucy's mother Sarah always enjoyed children and enjoyed playing with them.

Lucy A. Wallace, 92
Lucy A. Wallace, 92, of Red Bud, IL, died July 8, 2001 at St. Clement Hospital, Red Bud, IL.
The daughter of Robert and Sarah (Travis) Moore, she was born September 6, 1908 at Fredonia, Kentucky.
On January 1, 1933, she married Clarence Wallace at Taylorville, IL, and he preceded her in death in 1999.
Lucy was a homemaker; a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Chester, IL; and a member of a local sewing group for 39 years.
Survivors include three daughters-Corrine (Don) Stevens of Bethalto, IL, Nancy (Sam) Lane of Winnsboro, Tx, and Jane Reprogle of St. Louis, Mo; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sister; two brothers one son-in-law, Jerome Reprogle; and one great-great grandson, Matthew Reprogle.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 11, 2001 at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home, Red Bud, IL. with Rev. Marvin "Bud" Bennett officiating. Burial was in the City Cemetery, Red Bud, IL.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Chester or for Donor's Choice.

Mrs. Sarah E. Moore of Mt. Zion announced Saturday the wedding of her daughter Lucy to Clarence Wallace of Decatur. The ceremonies were held in the Taylorville Baptist church, New Year's day. Rev. J.H. Hastings officiated. The attendants were Miss Doris Disney and John Russell both of Decatur. Mr. Wallace is a student in the Army school at Rantoul.
