Family Notes on Marriage with Pardon Tillinghast: Text: From Jeffrey Fuller WFT: Pardon and Mary moved to East Greenwich, RI in 1699. He was made a citizen of East Greenwich on Oct. 11, 1699. He purchased 70 acres including a house and orchard in Frenchtown from Margaret Shippee. He was a farmer and called his farm his "mansion estate." He served as Justice of the Peace from 1705 to 1710 from his home, as was the custom in colonial days. He served as Deputy to the General Assembly for 11 terms: 1702, 1704, 1705, 1706, 1708, 1714, 1719, 1720, 1722, and 1725. When Mary died, Pardon established a family cemetery on his farm.
