King moved to Lubbock TX in 1955. Mr. King preceded her in 1972. She moved back to Okla. in 1982. Survived by 1 sister, Mrs. Dimple McMurray of OKC; several nieces and nephews. John D. Smith, 95, pioneer Yukon resident and retired farmer, died earl
y Thursday in his home. Smith suffered a fractured shoulder after a fall Wednesday in his home. He died of complications.Smith, who carried mail during Civil war days in Missouri, was born Mar
ch 19, 1851, in Bates county, Mo. He came to Oklahoma in 1890 and settled on a farm nine miles southwest of Yukon. Living there until 1908, he then moved into Yukon and had lived there until his death.Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Turner funeral home, Yukon, wi
th burial in the Yukon cemetery.Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Nellie Cover, Oklahoma City; Mrs. S.
M. McMurry, Oklahoma City; Mrs. John Turner, Yukon; Mrs. W.M. King, Houston, Texas; and two sons, Arthur, Oklahoma City, and Rolla of El Reno. Fifteen grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive.
