Mary Sewall was a dau. of the Hon. Henry Sewall, who was Secretary of Maryland, and Jane Lowe, who was the dau. of Vincent Lowe, b. 1594, and Ann Cavendish of London, Eng., dau. of Henry Cavendish of Tutbury Priory of Staffordshire, Member of Parliament, son of Sir William Cavendish and his wife, Elizabeth Hardwick.
