Notes
Individual:
named in his will four sons William, Enoch, Wells and Nathan. Guessing at birthdate based on son's birthdates.

Ward's Mill Run named after this family,

From Ward family geneaolgy (Andrew Weyer)
According to parish records of Quenn Anne's Parish, Prince George's County, Maryland Wells Ward was born on 30 June 1735. Wells was the son of Nathan Ward and Margaret. Same source shows Nathan was born on 12 February 1713. Nathan was the son of James Ward and Susannah. Susannah is believed to be the daughter of Francis Swanson. It is believed that James Ward died and Susannah remarried George Wells on 16 June 1725.
I have been trying to connect my ancestor Zachariah Wells to the Prince George's County Wells. Zachariah shows up in the part of Virginia that became Grayson County as a young man in the early 1770's. Zachariah married Abigail Osborne who is believed to be related somehow to Enoch Osborne of the same area. Zachariah's oldest son, Thomas married Rebecca Blevins who is supposed to be a daughter of James Blevins a brother in law of Wells Ward. Zachariah's third son married Susannah Ward who is believed to be connected to Wells Ward but has not been proven. During the Revolutionary War Zachariah moved to Wilkes County, North Carolina. He later moved to Lee County, Virginia.
The Virginia and North Carolina locations were all very near the Bridle and Saddle Creek areas of New River which ran along the Virginia / North Carolina border. I am not a Ward researcher but would be interested if this rings any bell in the Ward community.
Andy
