Information on  Kidds from webb site of Murray Kidd at Gencircles:

John Kidd, Sr. was said by decendent Alma P. Croft to have immigrated from
Ireland to York Co., SC, thence to Coweta Co., GA in 1832 (the part of Coweta
Co. later taken into Campbell Co.). He is buried "under some large rocks
placed ends up and a large flat rock placed over the top of the two rocks
stood up there" in a cemetery located on Rivertown Road, southwest of
Fairburne, GA (Fulton Co.). John W. Kidd and Sarah were living on the banks of the Mississippi River in KY when the great earthquake of 1811-1812 occured when "the treetops lapped together and the upheaval was so great that part of their potato patch fell
off into the river".
