His birth certificate states his birth date was 17 Jan 1860. His death certificate gives 7 Sep 1860 as his birth date. I lend more credence to the date on the birth certificate.Obituary notice (I believe from the Providence newspaper):
JAMES T. ANTHONY DEAD
James T. Anthony, employed as a silversmith by the Gorham Manufacturing Company for several years, died suddenly yesterday of heart disease, in his home, 35 Alger Avenue. He was in his 71st year.
Mr. Anthony had been unable to work for about a week because of a severe cold, but had hoped to return to his job next week. The fatal heart attack resulted from over-exertion during a trip to the centre of the city. Funeral arrangements will be completed upon the arrival today of a son, who resides in Swampscott, Mass.(Medical):Cause of Death 1) Chronic endocarditis 2) acute dilatation of heart.
Duration of Diseases: 1) Five years plus. 2) Sudden death.James Thomas Anthony and Pearl Perkins, both residing in Pawtucket.
Pearley's parents are listed as Cyrus & Annette Perkins.
