p. 14; Sam Roberson owned the first of any size Wagon Yard and Livery Stable in Stephenville, it covered all of Block no 4 in the original town. There were five others in 1904 they all stocked feed & water for mules and horses, and all permitted travelers to stop over night and all rented horses, saddles, buggies and wagons.
This block is located adjacent to the Court House. It is on the northeast corner of the square. Danny Johnson provided the information, he works for the city of Stephenville, TX. as Director of Utilities, in 2000.
