Roberson, age 29, is captured "Near Atlanta" by the 15th Army Corps " ( 10th Texas Compiled Service Records). "Camp Chase Prison receives 4 men from the 10th Texas Infantry. They had been captured "Near Atlanta " on July 22nd by members of the 15th Army Corps.They are: Private George W. Webb, Co. B, age 25; 3Sgt Adam C. Clingman, Co.E, age 42; Pvt James E. Roberson, Co. K, age 29 ; Pvt James M. N. Roberson, Co. K, age 23. (10th Texas Compiled Service)

Pvt. James E. Roberson - Enlisted with Co. K, 10th Texas Infantry, at Ft.
Hebert (at Virginia Point in Galveston Harbor) on February 18, 1862, by 1Lt.
Thomas Barton. He was captured at Arkansas Post, Arkansas, on January 11,
1863. He was paroled from Camp Douglas Prison on April 1, arriving at City
Point, Virginia for exchange on April 7, 1863.
Pvt. Roberson was captured "Near Atlanta" by the 15th Army Corps on July
22, 1864, then forward on July 24, to Louisville, Kentucky; he was sent to
Camp Chase Prison, Springfield, Ohio, on July 30th and arrived there on
August 1st. He was transferred for exchange from Camp Chase to New Orleans on
May 2, 1865.
