| Decendents of Stephen and Nancy Smith |
Stephen Smith first appears in Blount County, Alabama in 1830. In 1837 he bought property in Fayette County, Alabama near what would become Vernon, Alabama in what is now Lamar County.Between 1871 to about 1900 most of his descendents moved from there to other areas in north west Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and beyond. Although some names and or dates may not coincide with what you know to be true I have tried to record these to the best of my abilities.This does not say that I am without error on some so please if you notice anything like that e-mail me with your corrections and I will rectify them as soon as I possibly can.
