From Obit: Mrs. Anna Mae Carter was born in Linn County, Missouri,
March 23,
1884, the daughter of the late James and Margaret Bonifield Forrest, and
departed this live in Pettis County, Missouri, June 24, 1971, having
reached
the age of 87 years, 3 months and 1 day.
She lived most of her life in Linn and Mocon counties.
She was married February 12, 1903 to William E. (Barney) Carter. They
were
the parents of four children. One son, Ralph Forrest Carter, died at the
age
of 16 months. Mr. W. E. (Barney) Carter died in 1952.
Mrs. Carter was one of a family of eight children. She was preceded in
death by her two sisters and five brothers.
She was a member of the Christian Church, uniting with the church when
she
was a young woman.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Guy (Beulah) Richardson,
Sedalia, with
whom she had made her home for the past ten years; two sons, Cyrenus
Carter and
Paul Carter, both of New Boston.
Six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great, great
grandson
also survives as does other relatives.
