been found for either of them, it is believed that she was originallybaptised Mary at some Lutheran church in 1778. Her age as shown in1850 and 1860 censuses of Iredell Co., NC, establishes the date. Thesurname is also seen as YOOSE. Her age as shown in 1850 and 1860 censuses establishes her year of
birth.
Marriage:
This probably is the same Jacob LENTZ as LANTZ, Jacob who is shown on
p. 232, "Rowan Marriages 1753-1868:" LANTZ, Jacob married Mary YOOSE,
12 May 1802. Bonded by Boston LANTZ, Jno. McClelland, witness.The p. 232 entry in Rowan Co. Marriages, 1753-1868 reads: "Lantz,
Jacob, & Mary Yoose, 12 May 1802, Boston Lants, bondman, Jno.McClelland, wit."
