My Rosses were originally from Scotland. From what I have been told by family members, they travelled like this:
Scotland>NC or SC>AL>MS>then some to TN, and some to TX. I do not yet know my family line back to NC or SC or to Scotland. I have been searching for my gr-gr-gr-grandfather's parents for almost two years now. His name was John Hugh or Hugh John (called John by some, & Huey by some) Ross. He was born approx. 1827 in MOnroe Co., AL. He married Martha Griffin in 1850. She was also born in Monroe CO., AL.
