Mary jane Wylie of Wellington House in Prescott died Sept. 13, 1991. She was 88.
She came to Canada in 1921 from Ireland and lived in Toyes Hill for 25 years. She moved to Iroquois in 1953.
She was the wife of the late John Wylie who died in October of 1988. They were married Aug. 11, 1926 in Winchester.
Mrs. Wylie was born Nov. 9, 1902 in Ireland to Joseph and Lucy Hunter.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth, and his wife, Isabel of Napanee; duaghers Lucy and her husband, Arnold Smith, of Iroquois, Margaret and her husband, Bill Richardson, of Cardinal. Her sisters included Mrs. Gertie Murphy of Iroquois, Louise of
Prescott and Winnifred Coons of Lisbon, New York. She was predeceased by her brothers Joseph and Norman.
She had five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Iroquois. Her funeral was held in Iroquois Sept 16 at 2 pm. Rev. Jack Urquhart officiated.
Interment was at teh Iroquois Point Cemetery. Pallbearers included Tim Richardson, Charles Coons, Glenn Wylie, Jim Wyie, John Wylie and Noel O'Neill.
