4. Edward Lawrence went to Alabama about 1820 or just before the 1830 Census of Bibb County , Alabama, he is listed as head of household. The 1840 Census of Bibb County, Alabama does no t list him but does list Sarah, his his wife, as head of household.
5. A petition to the Orphans Court, Bibb County, Alabama filed on July 7, 1846 by Branson Law rence Administrater of the Estate of Sarah Smitherman Lawrence, wife of Edward Lawrence, moth er and father of Branson LAWRENCE list two sets of children with Branson being the oldest o f the first set.
6. According to unsubstantiated information several members of the John B. LAWRENCE family tr aveled by wagon train from Randolph County, North Carolina to Huntsville, Alabama. They wer e not satisfied, and some of them continued West and settled in Indiana. The Edward LAWRENC E family, Jonathan LAWRENCE family and their sister, Nancy Ann LAWRENCE who married Isaac EDW ARDS, came further south into Alabama. The Isaac EDWARDS family settled in Conecuh County. Th e Edward and Jonathan Lawrence families settled in the Southeastern section of Bibb County, w hat is now known as Randolph, Ala. They came about or just before 1820.
7. IGI has Edward born in Ashboro, Randolph, North Carolina 24 June 1763. Baptised 18 Apr 197 8 Wa Endowed 16 Sep 1978 Wa Sealed to P 20 Oct 1978 Wa.
8. Records of Shirley M. Taylor, 126 Prospect Street, Dover, Ohio 44622 (5 May 1981) say tha t Edward Lawrence died 21 April 1838.
