Clarence was raised by Charlie and Grace Lingenfelter after his parents death. He was driving a car when he had a massive heart attack. His obit lists Kiski Twp. as his birthplace.
Obituaries Apollo Area Resident Dies In Automobile Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon for an Apollo area motorist who died of a heart attack Sunday while driving in Spring Church. Dead from the attack is Clarence A. Cravener, 58, Route 3, Apollo, who became ill while driving in Spring Church. He drove his machine to the side of the road and died. He was with his brother, William, at the time. He was born July 17, 1893, in Kiski Township, a son of Joseiah and Margaret McLaughlin Cravener. He was a member of Vandergrift Eagles Club. He leaves his wife, Gertrude Cravener; two daughters: Mrs. Mary Emehizer, Route 3, Apollo, Mrs. Betty Hilty, San Francisco; five sons: Harvey, Donald and Lewis, Route 3, Apollo, Neil, North Vandergrift, and Cpl. Robert, with the Air Force in England. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and his brother William, Route 3, Apollo. Friends will be received in King Brothers Funeral Home, South Second Street, Apollo, after 7 this evening and until 10. Service will be held in the funeral home tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 in charge of Rev. G. Gallagher, pastor of Apollo First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Apollo Cemetery.[DeVinney.FTW]
