Obituary from the 18 OCT 2004 edition of the "Cleveland Daily Banner" (p.2):
. Heber B. McCoy, 89, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday evening, Oct. 17, 2004, at his residence.
. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, who served his country during World War II. He was a chief operator for the TNT plant.
. He was of the Protestant faith and a member of Woodmen of the World.
. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Lee Kibble McCoy; parents, Dock Love McCoy and Mary Taylor McCoy; two brothers; and two sisters.
. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: James and Marlene McCoy of Cleveland; three daughters ans sons-in-law: Louise and Frank Ownby, Sue and Mel Calloway and Mildred "Polly" and Ronald Flowers, all of Cleveland; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
. The funeral will be held Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at 11 a.m. at the Grissom Funeral Home with the Rev. Bennie Wilson officiating. Internment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
. The family will receive friends today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
. Memorials may be made to Bradley Home Health and Hospice.
