Stevens/Mansfield/Southworth/Medieval DB
You are visitor number to this database since 21 AUG 2007.

xxx
This database was conceived as my personal ancestry. As I got involved in medieval research, I expanded it to become useful to anyone descended from England's King Edward I. It will be of some use to descendants of King Edward III.
xxx
It is also a comprehensive ancestry of the Plymouth Colony immigrant Constant Southworth (whose mother married Governor William Bradford).
xxx
My database extensively records the early familes of Chebeague Island, Cumberland County, Maine. This information was gleaned from the genealogies of the reknowned local genealogist, Katherine P. Tinker, as found in the 1949 book, "Stone Sloops of Chebeague". As far as I can tell, my database is the first to publish these Chebeague genealogies on a searchable internet database.
xxx
This database contains many descendants of Robert Mansfield of Lynn, Essex Co., Massachusetts. My work builds upon that of Geneva Daland and James S. Mansfield as published in their 1980 book "Mansfield Genealogy". I have incorporated this entire work into the database, complete with page references. In effect, my database is now a searchable, online presentation of the book - with corrections made where I have found new data. I have systematically extracted Mansfield information from the all of the New England censuses from 1850 to 1870. There is a scattering of later censuses also.
xxx
I have published a companion database on GENCIRCLES - NEW ENGLAND MANSFIELDS (MOSTLY CT.) - which is devoted to Mansfields NOT descended from Robert of Lynn.
xxx
In August 2003, I attended a reunion of the Murray family of Frederickton & Breadalbane, Prince Edward Island, Canada. I am now in the process of adding as many descendants of Charles & Elizabeth (Sellick) Murray as I can.
xxx
This is still a project in progress. More to come. Additions and corrections are eagerly solicited!
