Marriage:
Ellie and Oscar eloped. The impending marriage was so much a secret that
Ellie did not pack a suitcase. Instead, she dressed in several layers of clothing and left the Maske home without arousing suspicion. Her sister, Glennie, recalled the family seeing them leave, but no one was the wiser.
