Mrs. Betty Lentz Bradley, 78, died at Glenwood Hills Nursing Home Monday after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, the Rev. James W.Bradley, whom she married in 1909 while serving as his church pianist. Anative of Stanly County, she was active in missionary and other churchwork throughout her life. She and her husband had lived with herdaughter, Mrs. John L. Cameron of Raleigh, since 1956. Other suvivorsare one son, J.W. Bradley Jr. of Raleigh; one brother, L.A. Lentz ofRaleigh; four sisters, Mrs. B.W. Lanier of Norwood, Mrs. C.S. bennett ofHigh Point, Mrs. Lesslie Bennett of Fayetteville, and Mrs. John K. McNeilSr. of Raeford; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held atthe Hayes Barton Methodist Church Tuesday at 2 p.m., conducted by Dr.W.L. Clegg, pastor, and the Rev. W.A. Cabe of Raleigh. Burial willfollow in Montlawn.

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Lentz Bradley, 78, who died at Glenwood Hills Nursing Home Monday after a long illness, were to be held at 2p.m., today at Hayes Barton Methodist Church with the Rev. W.A. Cabe andDr. W.L. Clegg officiating. Burial was to follow in Montlawn.
Surviving are her husband, the Rev. James W. Bradley; one daughter, Mrs. John L. Cameron with whom she lived; one son, J.W. Bradley Jr., ofRaleigh; one brother, L.A. Lentz of Raleigh; four sisters, Mrs. B.W.Lanier of Norwood, Mrs. C.S. Bennett of High Point, Mrs. Leslie Bennettof Fayetteville, and Mrs. John K. McNeil Sr., of Raeford; and fivegrandchildren.

Retired Minister's Wife Dies in Raleigh
Mrs. Bettie L. Bradley, wife of the Rev. J.W. Bradley, retired, died on Monday, January 4, in Raleigh. Mrs. Bradley had been ill for a long timeand was a patient at the Glenwood Hills Nursing Home at the time of herdeath.
Mrs. Bradley and Mr. Bradley were married in 1909. She was a good wife of a good Methodist preacher. She was from Stanly County. Heractivities in the churches where her husband served as pastor made agreat contribution to the people they served.
Funeral services were conducted at the Hayes Barton Methodist Church on Tuesday at 2 p.m. by Dr. W.L. Clegg, her pastor, assisted by Dr. W.A.Cade, longtime friend of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley.
Surviving are her husband; the two children, Mrs. John L. Cameron and J.W. Bradley, Jr., of Raleigh; one brother, L.A. Lentz of Raleigh; andfour sisters, Mrs. B.W. Lanier of Norwood, Mrs. C.S. Bennett of HighPoint, Mrs. Leslie Bennett of Fayetteville, and Mrs. John K. McNeill, Sr.of Raeford; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Bradley is a patient of the Glenwood Hills Nursing Home, Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh.

Aberdeen, Sept. 2 -- At 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Methodist church, in Raeford, Rev. J.W. Bradley, the pastor of the church, was happily married to Miss Bettie Cutchen Lentz. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J.E. Underwood, of Rockingham. Mr. Bradley is a member of the North Carolina Conference, and is very much loved. Miss Lentz is a modest, cultured young woman, specially gifted in Church work.
