Dwight graduated from Hamlet High School, Wake Forest College, and
Southern Baptist Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. He married KathleenClark of Pendleton, NC, and had two children. He served with Patton'sThird Army in the European Theater during WWII and served thirty years asBaptist Chaplain with the Student Department, Georgia Baptist Convention,mainly at Emory University, retiring in 1986. He is a Deacon, SundaySchool Teacher, and has served on key committees at the First BaptistChurch, Decatur, Georgia, presently living in Decatur.
